THE POWER OF COLLABORATION: NEW MUSIC IS ON THE WAY SOON

It’s been a busy few months in the CommsBreakdown studio 🎹🥁🎸🎶 I’m glad to report that there are some amazing new music releases coming up very soon, including several collaborations and co-productions that I’m eager for you all to hear.

Remmus by Meraldown

Firstly, I’ve been working on a new project with my friend, the amazing Stimeral – Spanish musician, producer and maker of cool electronic sounds. We’ve put our heads together to come up with the Meraldown project (that’s a combination of Sti[meral] and CommsBreak[down], geddit?).

Our first release will be Remmus, a joint production that started life as a Stimeral-composed synth jam and has gradually morphed into two distinct mixes, each featuring the combined synths, beats and guitars of our two unique musical minds.

Remmus will be available on Friday 6 September on our Bandcamp pages.

Stargazer by James Page vs CommsBreakdown

Next up will be a co-production with my UK friend, James Page. James is a painter, artist and multi-instrumentalist who’s dipping a toe into the world of self-produced music. Stargazer will be his first release and it’s an epic piano-led track that evolves into a real dance groover!

Stargazer began as a solo piano piece that James and I have worked on to add the layers of synth, strings, percussion and beats to turn this into a real anthem.

Stargazer will be available soon on James’ new Bandcamp page:

Dystopia For Soundtrack Lovers by CommsBreakdown

Yes, there’s a new album on the way from CommsBreakdown!

After the success of Music For A Civilised World, I’ve been working away on a new album project for the past couple of months. This album is a mix of dark and light, taking on the theme of living in the modern world and the dystopian view of our potential future. Part nostalgia, part homage to the eighties and part a continuation of the positive, chilled vibe of Music For A Civilised World.

There are some tunes on this album that I’m incredibly proud of, with a ‘CommsBreakdown sound’ that I think you’re gonna love (fingers crossed).

Dystopia For Soundtrack Lovers will be released on Friday 6 September, just in time for Bandcamp Friday.

Follow me on my Bandcamp page to be notified once the album is out:

Another secret collaboration is lined up!

I’ve also been working on a third collaboration, which will be released at the end of October. This one is under wraps for now (shhhhh! 🤫), but I’m super excited about this co-production with a very well-respected DJ and producer.

More details to follow soon!
